Our team, with experts from the National Institute of Ecology, conducted a critical field assessment of mangrove areas. We navigated through dense mangroves and expansive wetlands to reach vital restoration sites. During our journey, we observed diverse wildlife, including twelve Moreleti crocodiles in a restoration zone. The experts provided precise evaluations of restoration areas, determined the optimal routes, and calculated the sediment required for restoration. This work addresses the impact of altered hydrological cycles, which have devastated the mangroves, highlighting both the challenges and the path forward for effective conservation.
